M. Yusuf Abduh, MSc (Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia and University of Groningen, The Netherlands)] Academic staff at the School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia since 2010. Research area is within the Agrotechnology and Bioproduct Technology Research Group, ITB. Currently pursuing a PhD at the Green Chemical Reaction Engineering Lab, University of Groningen (RuG) from 2010 and is expected to finish at the end of 2014. Research work is about exploratory studies on biodiesel synthesis in mobile production units using centrifugal contactor separators. As such include process intensification to produce biodiesel at a small scale with local input and demand. The use of jatropha oil and rubber seed oil as a feedstock  to produce biodiesel has been investigated and shows promising results. Future demo project for potential application of rubber seed oil to produce energy in Palangkaraya is currently in progress.
