Ir. Liliane Geerling RTD, HZ University of Applied Sciences/Delta Academy, The Netherlands
At the Delta Academy I work as a researcher/lecturer in the field of resilience, ecology & spatial planning. I am involved in the development of courses for Delta and Water Management a.o.: Integrated Coastal Zone Management, Safety,Ecology&Space I, II and III, Sustainable Development and Climate Change. My research topic involves spatial resilience and linking mitigation and adaptation in spatil planning. Next to that, I am involved in setting up the Living Lab Water in Surabaya with ITS- ‘Resilient Coast Surabaya’. The LLW Indonesia is a bilateral quadruple helix initiative that is driven by higher education. It connects Indonesian and Dutch companies, people and governments with higher education institutions through students, lecturers and researchers, who apply their expertise in the water sector to real-life societal challenges in Indonesia. In the Mekong Delta we also try to develop a Living Lab Water together with Can Tho University and An Giang University.
