Haryo Armono

(Ph.D) Haryo Dwito Armono (ITS, Indonesia)

Haryo Dwito Armono, was appointed as the Secretary for Graduate Programme of Marine Technology at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya since 2015. He taught Coastal Structures and Soil Mechanics in Department of Ocean Engineering since 1995. His research on Artificial Reef started in 1997 continued by his accomplishment on M.Eng (1998) and Ph.D (2003) from Memorial University and Queens University, Canada. Currently, his research has expanded to various method on environmentally friendly coastal protection. His expertise leading to various request from Government and Private Sectors to assist in solving problems on coastal erosion, reclamation and harbor sedimentation. He was also involved in the preparation of General Guidelines for Coastal Reclamation organized by Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (2004), Team Leader of Sedimentation Study on Approach Bridge of Suramadu Project (2005), and member of LPPM ITS (hydro-oceanographic expert) for various environmental impact assessment (EIA) documents prepared for PELINDO III port and harbor extension including Teluk Lamong Multipurpose Terminal (1st Indonesian Green Port) in Surabaya (2014).
