Gayatri Indah Marliyani, PhD (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia)

Marliyani earned a PhD in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University, an M.Sc from San Diego State University and a B.Eng from Universitas Gadjah Mada. She is currently working as a lecturer and researcher at Geological Engineering Department, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Her research interests are focused on Active Tectonics and Earthquake Geology. Over the past years, she has been involved in a series of active tectonics investigations of the San Andreas Fault system in the United States and active fault mapping in Java, Indonesia. Her recent work addressed subduction zone dynamics and upper plate deformation, with applications to seismic hazard assessment in Java.
