In the selection procedure of the first ANGIN call in 2017, four projects were awarded ANGIN grants:

- “Resilience of the Dispossessed: A Comparative Study of Responses to Oil Palm Expansion in Indonesia”. Dr. Ward Berenschot, KITLV, Leiden.
- “Living Lab Water Indonesia: How to implement the concept of the circular economy (CE) in (Indonesian) land and water resources management at local/ regional scales?”. Prof. Toine Smits, Radboud University Nijmegen.
- “Integrated interventions for better nutrition, reproductive health, and wellbeing of Indonesian adolescent girls”. Dr. Robert Sparrow, Wageningen University and Research.
