Frits Blessing has over 35 years of international experience in the maritime industry, logistics, IT, consultancy, research & education. During these years he held operational, research, management and director / owner positions. He was also a board member of several professional organizations and working committees. Besides his business activities, he was appointed as a part-time professor at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2002-2010. In that period he developed applied research / triple-helix collaborations between universities, governments and industries (port, health care, SME’s) in the Rotterdam area.

Since 2011 Frits spends half of the time in Indonesia, where he coached several (social) entrepreneurs, developed the Living Labs Indonesia-NL approach with Nuffic (Neso) and Topsectors Logistics & Water, and is involved in business development in Maluku.
