The eighth Open Science Meeting, entitled Towards Resilient Society, will be held from
15 to 17 May 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The OSM has been organized biannually since 2002, mostly in Indonesia.
The main goal of the OSM is to strengthen the scientific bonds between our two countries, pursuant to the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefit. For OSM 2017, the main focus is on improving the resilience of society in changing circumstances. OSM 2017 will invite scientists, dignitaries from ministries, academies of science and other stakeholders to present their research and policy initiatives.
The OSM 2017 programme features scientific presentations, an innovation fair, public debates, workshops, keynote speeches, poster presentations, and science for policy sessions. Around the OSM plenary days, master classes on different themes will be held at several locations around the archipelago.
